Ennis Hodgson is a multidisciplinary artist, raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. Ennis graduated from Morgan State University with a B.A. in Fine Arts, concentrating in Multimedia Studio Art, and is a current MFA student at the Corcoran School of Arts & Design at George Washington University. He uses the innovative musical elements from the African American music Diaspora to transport viewers to visual realms of freedom and authenticity. He incorporates printmaking, and collage to invoke groovy dance-like movements. The expressive motion of Ennis’ work portrays the euphoric yet challenging journey of remaining true to oneself and existing as a second-generation queer Nicaraguan pursuing art.
