Ennis Hodgson is a multidisciplinary artist, raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. Ennis graduated from Morgan State University with a B.A. in Fine Arts, concentrating in Multimedia Studio Art. He uses the cosmic elements of funk, disco, and jazz music to transport viewers to visual realms of freedom and authenticity. He achieves this by incorporating etching, screen printing, watercolor, and collage to invoke groovy dance-like movements. The expressive motion of Ennis’ work portrays the euphoric yet challenging journey of remaining true to oneself as a second-generation queer Nicaraguan pursuing art.
